What is Pilates?
Pilates is a low-impact form of exercise that focuses on strength, stability, flexibility, posture and controlled movement. It helps you develop a stronger, more connected body by working your core and supporting muscles through precise, mindful movements. Pilates can be adapted to suit all ages and abilities, whether you’re completely new to exercise or an experienced dancer or athlete.
What are the main benefits?
Pilates has so many benefits! Regular practice can help to build core strength, improve posture, flexibility, balance, coordination and body awareness, as well as support better movement patterns and overall strength. It can also be a fantastic complement to other activities such as dance, helping to improve control, stability and movement quality.
What do I wear?
Wear something that is comfortable and allows you to move freely. Close-fitting or stretchy clothing such as leggings, fitted tops, cycling shorts or a comfortable T-shirt are ideal. Pilates is usually practised barefoot or in grip socks, so there’s no need for trainers. Most importantly, wear something you feel comfortable and confident moving in!

I’ve never done Pilates before, where do I start?
We advise one-to-one sessions ideally to personally tailor the exercises to what your body needs most. You will also have access to our state of the art Reformer machine to really enhance your Pilates session.
We then have our Pilates Matwork Group Classes which are great to focus on the abundance of exercises you can do on the mat, which can also be done at home!
Do I need to bring anything?
Nothing at all — just come as you are! We’ll provide all the equipment you need for your session. If you’re attending a mat class, you’re more than welcome to bring your own mat, but it’s not necessary.

Do you sell gift cards?
Yes we do! You can email us to buy or in person at the studio. This is a perfect birthday or Christmas treat for anybody who needs some time to focus on themselves and feel the benefit in just a few sessions.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require that all bookings be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a 100% late cancellation fee. This helps us allocate resources effectively and allows us to offer bookings to our other students. Exceptions may be granted in the case of documented emergencies.
